Italy’s anti-drug education initiative has surpassed one million informational booklets distributed in the past month. The initiative forms part of the drug awareness programme known as “The Truth About Drugs”, which aims to provide accessible knowledge about commonly abused substances and their risks to young people and communities.
Approximately 500 volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in schools, eu news channel businesses and urban centres. The campaign focuses on raising awareness before drug use begins, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a simple way.
The campaign is connected to broader humanitarian initiatives supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
